Coffee, doing it right
At Barista & Co, we are committed to ethical and sustainable practices throughout our business. That's why we work with suppliers who share our values and prioritise social and environmental responsibility.
We source our coffee from sustainable farms and cooperatives that use organic and fair trade practices. We also prioritise ethical sourcing of our packaging materials, including biodegradable and compostable options. Our team is committed to minimising our environmental impact through initiatives such as reducing waste and promoting energy efficiency.
We are proud to be a member of 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of our annual sales to environmental non-profits. At Barista & Co, we strive to make a positive impact on the world through our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
Barista & Co took action to clean up Hengistbury Head, a popular beach in Dorset, in an effort to reduce plastic waste and protect the local environment.
On a sunny Saturday morning, a team of volunteers from Barista & Co gathered at Hengistbury Head armed with gloves, trash bags, and a determination to make a difference. They combed the beach and surrounding areas, collecting plastic waste, rubbish, and washed-up debris.
Over the course of a few hours, the Barista & Co team managed to collect an impressive amount of litter, making a visible impact on the beach and surrounding areas. They were able to remove everything from small pieces of plastic to larger items such as fishing nets and ropes.
The beach clean not only helped to protect the local wildlife and ecosystem but also raised awareness about the importance of reducing plastic waste and keeping our beaches clean.
Barista & Co is committed to making a positive impact on the environment and plans to continue organising beach cleans and other initiatives to promote sustainability in the local community.
Barista & Co recently teamed up with Project Waterfall to carry out the Big Water Walk in Bournemouth. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the global water crisis and to support communities in need of access to clean drinking water.
A team of volunteers from Barista & Co and Project Waterfall gathered at Bournemouth beach to embark on a walk along the coastline. The participants carried jerry cans filled with water to simulate the journey that many people in developing countries have to undertake to access clean water.
The walk was a symbolic gesture, but it served to highlight the importance of clean drinking water and the difficulties that many people around the world face in accessing it. The participants also engaged with passers-by to raise awareness about the global water crisis and the work that Project Waterfall is doing to help.
Project Waterfall is a charity that works to bring clean drinking water, sanitation, and education to coffee-growing communities around the world. Barista & Co is a proud supporter of this charity and is committed to making a positive impact on the environment and communities both locally and globally.
