Funkier than James Brown this Ugandan is one for those who love a filter coffee whether that be a cafetiere, pour over or Twist Press. This is not your traditional coffee and is one for the true coffee lover. We feel it works best without milk so you can enjoy all the complex flavours. Sweetness from cacao nib and honey with acidity from the pineapple and mango.

This coffee is produced by farms in the south west of Uganda, along the border with Democratic Republic of Congo, on farms in the Rwenzori Mountains. Some of the peaks of these mountains are permanently ice-capped, and feed water to tributaries which lead to the Nile River. 'Rwenjura' means 'water hill', or 'bringer of water'.
Here, our local exporter works with family farmers, many of whom have been producing coffee for generations, to produce very high quality export coffee, with a particular focus on selective picking and careful drying. The result is a Ugandan coffee that can compete on level terms with more celebrated neighbours, Kenya and Rwanda.
