What's so great about the Barista Touch by Sage? How about... everything? Yes, that was cringe. But this coffee maker isn't. If you're a big fan of espresso based drinks such as macchiato, latte or cappuccino's then Sage's Barista Touch isn't just a fancy bit of kit to you. You need this home espresso machine in your kitchen. Why? Because at the touch of a button, there is nothing this machine can't do (as long as we're talking coffee here).
Masters of coffee engineering, Sage have put the four pillars of amazing espresso into one machine. The Barista Touch includes an in-built coffee grinder that grinds your beans with excellent consistency, achieving a micron size between 200-400 (ideal for espresso extraction).
Pressure is another thing that's hugely important when it comes to pulling the perfect espresso shot. You want a low pressure to begin with, aiming to eek out the delicate tasting notes. But this quickly becomes high pressure (9 bar) to get that gorgeous caramel coloured crema. Yum. Sage have mastered this with a 15 bar Italian Pump.
Now, latte art isn't for everyone. But what if I told you you could pour your milk into a stainless steel pitcher and press a button? The machine does the rest. That's what the Barista Touch is capable of. Latte milk is finer, often referred to a microfoam or silky smooth milk. Cappuccino milk requires a lot more froth. Let's not even get into flat white milk. The Sage Barista Touch can handle all the details, steaming your milk to perfection whatever your beverage of choice.
Oh, and did I mention it's touch screen?
