Is this lid compatible with other models?

This silicone lid is compatible with the Strong Brew, Twist Press 2.0 and original Twist Press.

What is the silicone lid for?

Every Strong Brew has a hidden storage compartment in the upper handle that can be used to store additional paper filters or enough ground coffee for another cup if you are taking it out and about. The silicone lid keeps everything stored in there dry and safe.
