Sustainably-Driven Design

The Barista & Co Brew It Stick is the original coffee infuser stick designed to make it easier to drink fresh coffee at home. It’s our entry-level brewer, perfect for getting you started on your specialty coffee journey.

It’s easy to use and easy to clean. Plus, it’s compact so it doesn’t clutter up your kitchen. If you’re currently drinking instant coffee, you won’t notice any difference when it comes to the amount of time it takes to make your cup… You will notice a huge improvement in the taste of your coffee at the end.

Designed to work much like a tea steeper, simply fill your Brew It Stick basket 2/3rds full with filter ground coffee and stick it into a mug of hot water. You’ll see the infusion start immediately, give it a little twirl in the mug if you want a stronger brew. Leave your Brew It Stick in the mug for 4-6 minutes, depending on how strong you like your coffee. Finally, remove your Brew It Stick from the mug of coffee and place into the tidy drip holder. Mess free brewing!

Stainless Steel Basket Filter: We’ve replaced the nylon mesh with a high-grade stainless-steel filter for a better tasting coffee. Not only have we made this change to improve the coffee you’re drinking at home, but stainless steel is a more sustainable material. Barista & Co are proud members of 1% for the Planet and constantly striving to improve the way we impact our environment.

Weighted Base: The upgraded Brew It Stick features a weighted base, allowing you to leave your coffee brewing without stirring the infuser into the mug. This upgrade holds your ground coffee at the bottom of the mug for hands-free extraction… Although, we’d still recommend giving your Brew It Stick infuser a swirl if you like a stronger coffee.

Sustainably-Driven: The Brew It Stick works similarly to a tea-steeper or coffee bags. Fill the basket with ground coffee and leave to steep in hot water. Unlike coffee bags, the Brew It Stick is reusable and has always been built with sustainability in mind. By removing the nylon filters and the plastic included in packaging we’re helping you make coffee more sustainably at home.

Textured Handle: By adding a textured handle to the Brew It Stick design, we’ve made it more comfortable in your hand. We’re constantly working on improvements based on your feedback and are pleased to see so many positive reviews on the original Barista & Co Brew It Stick. This is just one of the changes we’ve made based on user feedback. Thank you for exploring the Brew It Stick on your journey to drinking better coffee at home.

For Tea Lovers: The Brew It Stick is a coffee infuser, used to make fresh coffee at home or at work. But did you know it can also be used to brew loose leaf tea? With the previous Brew It Stick design, Barista & Co always recommended buying a second infuser to use for tea. This was because the nylon basket would trap a lot of the coffee oils, affecting the quality of your cup of tea. Now, thanks to the upgraded stainless steel filter, this isn’t a problem. Stainless steel is much easier to clean. The coffee oils will easily wipe away and you’ll be able to brew a clean cup of fresh coffee or loose leaf tea with just one Brew It Stick.

How long should I leave my Brew It Stick to brew for?

We recommend brewing your coffee with the Brew It Stick for 4-6 minutes. Start your timer as soon as you place the basket into your mug. The longer you brew for, the stronger your coffee will be.

What type of coffee do I need for the Brew It Stick?

To make fresh coffee at home with a Brew It Stick you will need filter ground coffee. In order to get the best cup of coffee in your hands, we'd always recommend grinding beans fresh at home. If you're not ready to commit to an electric coffee grinder, you can buy your coffee preground.

We offer a selection of single origin coffee's available as beans or filter ground. Our House Darker Roast is best suited for people who add milk to their brew whereas our House Lighter Roast is usually the go-to choice for black coffee drinkers.

Is the Brew It Stick easy to use?

The Brew It Stick is our entry-level brewer and the easiest to use in our collection of coffee makers. Scoop your fresh ground coffee into the basket, replace the handle and dunk it into a mug of hot water. Wait for 4-6 minutes and then enjoy your fresh cup of coffee at home, work or on the go.

Can you use a Brew It Stick to make tea?

Yes! The Brew It Stick is the perfect kitchen accessory to make coffee or loose leaf tea. Scoop your loose leaf tea into the basket and replace the stick handle. Place the stick into your mug of hot water and follow the steeping instructions on your teabag.

How do I clean my Brew It Stick?

The filter basket and handle should be cleaned with warm soapy water, rinsed and dried thoroughly. They can also be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher although this can reduce the lifetime of the product. The drip pot holder is not dishwasher safe and should be washed with warm soapy water. If you are moving from brewing coffee to tea we suggest using a specific coffee machine cleaner such as Cafiza as this will remove the coffee oils from the filter.
